CLASSES + EVENTS

Feral Hollow offers community classes rooted in tradition, accessible science, and the belief that plant medicine belongs to everyone. Classes are open to beginners unless otherwise noted.

THE OPEN HOUR
A pay-what-you-can community offering from Feral Hollow

Care is gatekept. I know that firsthand. I also live with the tension of needing a sustainable income - and I don't want to be what stands between you and the care you deserve. The Open Hour is one attempt to bridge that gap.

THE OPEN HOUR exists for the people who aren't ready for a three-month container, can't afford one right now, or just have questions that deserve real answers.

It's simple - you send me your questions in advance, and we spend an hour together going through them.

This is an educational conversation, not a clinical consultation. I won't have your intake, your labs, or your full history. What I can offer is a knowledgeable, unhurried hour with someone who has spent a decade at the intersection of clinical herbalism, functional nutrition, and complex chronic illness - and who lives in a body like yours.

This offering is especially for folks navigating::

MCAS, POTS, hEDS, and the overlapping terrain between them

Undiagnosed or difficult-to-diagnose conditions

Complex chronic illness that conventional medicine hasn't known how to hold

The intersection of neurodiversity and a chronically ill body

Disability in all of its shapes and forms

This is not a commitment to deeper work. It's just an hour, freely offered, no strings.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Book your hour using the link below.

  2. Email your questions to River@feralhollow.com in advance - as many as you have, in whatever order they come out.

  3. We meet, we talk, I answer what I can.

  4. I'll send along any notes from our conversation afterward. You're also welcome to record the session or bring an AI notetaker - please just let me know in advance.

A quick note on accessibility: Like all my other work, I'm also open to having a conversation with you via voice memo, instant message, or email if a video session is too much right now. Just let me know in your email what format works best for you.

ON PAYMENT
This is a pay-what-you-can offering. Truly.

If you have resources to give, I welcome them. If all you have right now is gratitude - that's enough. This offering is a reflection of the Honorable Harvest, the foraging ethic taught to me by mentors: just like I leave the first plant and the last plant, I won’t take your first or your last financially. If this hour is what the land can offer you right now, then this hour is yours.

THE OPEN HOUR is available to anyone, ongoing. If demand grows beyond what I can hold, I'll update this page - but for now, the gate is open.

OUR FOUNDATIONS:

  • Land Stewardship + Indigenous Acknowledgement - We honor, respect, and uplift relatives of the Monacan tribal nation on whose traditional land all our work is made possible.  Read more about the Monacan people here. Learn about the indigenous people, territories, treaties, and languages where you are through the Native-Land Map.

  • Accessibility + Inclusivity at Feral Hollow - Feral Hollow is a sanctuary for all bodies and minds. We strive to make our digital home as accessible as our physical one, especially for those navigating high-symptom days or sensory sensitivities. We manage our own technology though and are always learning! If you encounter any barriers or need information in a different format to accommodate your needs, please reach out via our Contact Form or email us directly at river@feralhollow.com. We are happy to help you directly.
